Ruin Near Rodmer Clough

This is the wheel pit of what was one Rodmer Clough Mill. Originally a cotton and worsted mill build in 1793. The vertical gap visible at the back was a 40 foot water drop with a waterwheel used to power machinery.  It later became a cotton only mill before becoming derelict in 1881.
